Before becoming a counselor, I spent 25 years working as a CPA and had my own Certified Public Accounting Practice. I have seen mental health concerns affect so many people in Corporate America as well as in everyday lives. Dysfunction is one constant in all walks of life.
I chose to be a therapist because I knew I could make a difference. I know therapy works. I am so blessed to be in a field where I can help my clients achieve the life they deserve and want.
My personality comes out in my approach with clients - I am fun, lighthearted, caring, and value all my clients. My goal is to show my clients they have what it takes to live a joyful and fulfilling life.
You will be greeted with a warm welcome, a caring heart, and complete regard as we work together to help you achieve your goals. My years of being a mom, wife, daughter, and friend have given me valuable insight into what works and does not work in relationships.
My training and experience have given me the knowledge and direction to get to the root causes and find healthy solutions for my clients to reach their goals. This work is more than a career for me—it is a calling.
Outside of counseling, I am involved in volunteering with the homeless population of Columbus, helping families find secure housing and shelter. Helping those in underprivileged communities is a passion of mine.
In my free time, I enjoy dancing, movies, karaoke, and spending time with my husband (a former special forces operator), my son who is in college, and my little girl. I also spend a lot of time volunteering in the homeschool community and helping younger moms maneuver parenting.
My life is full but one of my greatest joys is my job and my clients.
Kevin is a compassionate counselor who helps clients build on their existing strengths to create meaningful, fulfilling lives on their own terms. He believes that each person has the capacity for growth and works collaboratively to identify what fulfillment looks like for them individually.
Kevin integrates mindfulness practices into his sessions, helping clients become more present and aware of their thoughts and emotions. He also focuses on increasing clients’ tolerance to distress, equipping them with practical tools to navigate challenging situations.
Kevin draws inspiration from several therapeutic approaches, tailoring his methods to best support each client’s unique goals and experiences. Through his approach, clients are empowered to develop resilience, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Welcome! I am dedicated to helping my clients identify their unique strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide genuine warmth and empathy, while creating a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.
With over 10 years of experience in the counseling field, I offer client-centered care to adolescents, young adults, and families navigating life's challenges. My therapeutic approaches are focused on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I work alongside clients to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and increase overall well-being.
As a wife of 18 years, mother of two children, foster parent, and home educator, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight into my work including navigating adoption and foster care issues, attachment concerns, identity development, grief and loss, and the effects of early childhood trauma. I understand the joys and challenges that families face while balancing parenting, education, and everyday life.
Outside of my counseling work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family, especially hiking mountains and exploring the beautiful national parks across the nation. I also love reading to my children, tap dancing, bike riding, volunteering with church ministry including visiting senior living homes and food pantries, and teaching the Spanish language to children in the community.
Thank you for taking the time to be here, and I hope to connect with you soon.
